Can you use a phone when you have a concussion?
Yes, there are no rigid rules for cell phone or screen use after a concussion. Recommendations should be individualized and symptom-driven.
How to deal with mobile phone use?
In the acute phase (first 48 hours), 0–30 minutes of screen time per day is recommended. In the next phase, screen use can be reintroduced in 3–4 short sessions of 15–30 minutes, with breaks and without clear worsening of symptoms. In phase 3, screen time is gradually increased towards normal levels, with careful consideration of symptom provocation and recovery.
